The subject came up in the SIG-C meeting a couple of years ago, and
the information about the costs of doing a port came from data accumulated
while porting the HP-UX C compiler to MPE/XL. Again, if enough sites
would purchase the product, I suspect HP would do it. The cost data comes
from real, live experience though.
