Functionally, I think the time is right to compress everything MPE into one
big SIG. We (SIGMPE) can continue to provide direct advocacy with HP for MPE
and, now, all things MPE. There are some practical matters to be worked out,
but it is very doable. Donna Garverick (co-Chair SIGMPE) and I can work with
Ken Sletten, etc. to make this happen. Since HPWorld 2005 is in San
Francisco (a short car ride for both Donna and myself), we should be able to
put on at least one more good meeting.

Since Eloquence is actively sold and developed, Eloquence should have its
own SIG, provided there is sufficient interest. Including Eloquence in
SIGMPE spreads us too thin. (FWIW, since I believe it is worthwhile to
pursue, I am willing to be one of the necessary signers, if someone wants to
start SIGEloquence - however, I cannot take any active role in running it.)

BTW, I want to publicly thank Donna for filling in for me at HPWorld 2004,
when a last minute scheduling problem prevented me from attending.

John Burke
C-Chair SIGMPE
