Hello Friends:
Abtech's resolution with HP over used broker suits includes steep judgements
Agreement takes broker out of HP 3000 sales, training and support markets
HP commented on a pending resolution agreement in one of its
lawsuits regarding illegal license transfers - by forwarding a copy of the
agreement, signed by HP and Abtech and filed on May 6, but not yet signed
by a Federal judge.
HP on May 7 forwarded a copy of a signed resolution agreement filed
in US District Court on May 6. Terms of the agreement, the related
judgement of which hasn't yet been approved by the Federal judge, state
that "Abtech stipulates that a judgement in the amount of $600,000 may be
taken against it in connection with the [HP's] damages for lost licensing
and reconfiguration fees, general damages and attorney's fees." The
agreement filed in the court further states that Abtech president Robert
Russell "stipulates that a judgement in the amount of $300,000 may be taken
against him in connection with [HP's] claims for damages in this action.
These agreed upon figures constitute a settlement of the disputed amount of
damages owed to [HP] in this action."
