Hope this isn't taken as a flame. I have reservations about some of the
headlines I've seen on 3kworld and a few other things that seem to be more
than they are.
However, I do think 3kworld presents - at least the promise of - the e3k
community as a commercially viable and "newsworthy" world, worth a web
site.
This is an important view. It is much of what has been missing - the
"look" of a commercially successful endevor.
HP3000-l is a great resource and so are the many web sites dedicated to
e3k activities and support, but there is also the need for the commercial,
marketing angle from the likes of HP/CSY, Client Systems and as many
software vendors as we can get. There is nothing else like 3kworld and it
has started to have enough content to be worthwhile and the "look" has a
lot of promise, but more work *is* needed.
Just my half penny's worth.
