There as always been an HP escape sequence:
Esc*s^
...that returns a five-byte string indicating the terminal identity, such as:
HP70092. However, I believe everyone has also adopted the sequence originally
used by Reflection:
Esc*s1234<x>^
...that returns some sort of version-identifying string in the form, such as
QCTERM-V3.2, where in QCTerm at least, <x> is any numeric character, 0-9. The
individual digits, 0-9, may mean something different in Reflection, check to
be sure first.
