We recently converted from DDS3's (each on a dedicated FWSCSI interface) to
DLT7000s on FWSCSI. Backup times were cut to less than half of what they
were. We use Turbostore Online 7x24 and backup ~55Gb on one backup averaging
1069 K/S completing in 2 hours 50 minutes (online; i.e. w/other users working
on the system).

The other backup (which runs concurrently backing up different volsets and
on the other DLT7000 on its own FWSCSI) varies widely in data backed up, but
last night did about 63Gb at 947 K/S completing in 2 hours 59 minutes. Both
running concurrently on a 997-400.
