Leonard is correct, I made a typo while trying to make it more readable.  In
the job all names are COMMQRY, and it gets a little hard to read.

The job is very old, about 20 years since it was first written, so finding
classic notation does not surprise me.

This program is written COBOL, but we also do what you mention above.
