Ah, the memories...

In 1978 we needed to add 1mb to our pdp-11/70 system. It had 512k of core
at the time. DEC wanted 43k for 1mb of semiconductor memory. At the time
there were various vendors selling memory for the pdp-11 all at about
20k per mb. We ended up buying from Mostek (they also supplied memory
chips for HP).
