I believe in ANDi, but not Alba.

Al has been so gracious to all of us, I see no reason to keep this discussion glowing.

Just a little bit before Christmas, Doug Becker wrote regarding the
Playstation 2:

========================================

As a hoax, it's pretty well done, but you really have to think about Sadaam
Husein buying up all those PlayStation 2 games.

A much better hoax was the GPF bunny. At least they had doctored pictures of
a bunny glowing green from jellyfish genes and articles planted in strategic
places in normally creditable news sources (though they were all written by
Amanda Onion). I e-mailed a professor who supposedly made comment on the
bunny and his reaction was, Say What? I don't know a thing about it. Yes, the
lab exists. The scientist exists (though no mention of the GPF Bunny was
found on the official web site), but unfortunately I could not get his e-mail
address. Anyone taking bets on what he would say?

These are great uban ledgends and we should respect them as such.

I didn't have time to respond then, but genetically-modified bunny named Alba
is/was no hoax. In that regard, Alba meet ANDi:

If this keeps up, the anti-technology Luddites who protest all bioengineering
are going to have to borrow the slogan of their anti-nuclear compatriots:
"Hell, No! We won't glow!"
