We have an HP3000 967RX and are on
RELEASE: C.50.02 MPE/iX HP31900 B.79.06 USER VERSION: C.50.02
For the second time in the past few days a session was hung. Using
Glancexl I determined that, both times, the session was waiting for
terminal write to complete. Doing abortio and abortjob was not successful.
Doing a 'showout' on the session, see below, I saw that the session had an
open spoolfile against LDEV 21. An abortio 21 allowed the session to log
off but the question remains how did this happen. The application is VPLUS
based and its vendor says that their software does *not* 'open up' Ldev 21.
The person working on the problem indicated to me that he has seen a
similar situation in a previous life. Has anyone else had a similar
experience?
I don't know if there is a connection, but our first hung session was
coming in through a modem port and we have not been able to use that modem
since then.
Thanks
Paul H. Christidis
