I understand there's a patch in beta testing for this problem, now.
SR# 5003312272 and 4701326348 address this issue.  HP provided a DEBUG
"mask" for us to execute at system boot time to prevent system logging
from becoming disabled under the stated conditions.  You might check
with the RC and see if they'll give this to you as well.

Chad,

   You might want to check with VESoft/HP before examining your logfiles
with VEAudit.  I did this once, and ran into a problem.  I don't
remember the specifics now and can't find my notes, but it screwed-up my
system logging.  I had to have HPRC dial in and do some stuff with debug
to avoid a reboot.
