That's a good question.
Obviously the documentation or implementation of HP Cobol was not as conform
with the Cobol standards.
I am looking currently into AcuCobol and finding many things that HP-Cobol
accepted but is/was not conform with the ANSI-Cobol.
Therefore it is very hard to tell.
If you didn't use some of these features, you will not run into the
problems.
e.g. assign to, search, read, read next, tally

If you learn or hear more, please let me know as well
