I asked because I noticed, after Bruce's posting, that my IntelliMouse
exhibits some of the symptoms Bruce complained about. It's connected
via PS/2. So, I tried to switch it to USB. 5 reboots later, I got
it to work ... with the same symptoms. 5 more reboots later, I finally
gave up and went back to PS/2 (figuring that if both PS/2 and USB had
the same problem, I'd free up the USB port).

Of course, I blame Bruce for this...if he hadn't pointed out the problem
he had, *my* mouse wouldn't start having the same problem! :)

The problem doesn't occur on Gavin's USB mouse (Win 2000), nor on
my home PC (Win 98, PS/2), nor on many other people's systems apparently.

I did notice one oddity...when I went to submit a bug report to Microfsoft
(via the web), I noticed that the PID (product ID) on my mouse differs a
bit from Gavin's mouse. When he's not looking, I'll switch mice and see
if the problem follows the mouse....shh! don't tell him! :)
