I know someone has done an upgrade to 5.5, but I didn't pay attention to the threads since
I didn't believe we were going to move that way. Anyway, this all ties back to the turbo store
software thread I started. As it turns out, we've got a newer tape drive someone purchased
and tucked it away in a closet.(so to speak). It can't be used unless we go to 5.5.
We've got an HP3000 with users accessing it with Minisoft's WS92 & Reflection including ldev printers
attached to several DTC's. My question is:
Is it possible to upgrade to 5.5 within (4) weeks and change out the tape drive without any
unusual events occuring? Is this an extremely lenthy upgrade? Will I be able to keep my
users going without any interuptions besides the tape drive installation?
Other factors, I have yet to see the installation manual for 5.5.
What are all the necessary patch tapes needed also for installation?
