The Kuran gives 5 names you should name a boy and says you should not name your son Rafi(could be misspelled). One of the 5 names Osama. That is why you see Abdullah and Osama a lot.

Bin means the son of , as in ibin(son) ibna (daughter). refers of course to the son of Laden. You may have a lot of ibins and bin which may give a lot of genealogy.

In Islamic culture a father , even if the child is not yet born is called, Abu (insert name of son here) Hussain, or the father of Hussain. I was in the desert with some Arabs listening to them talk. They referred to one of the unmarried fellows as Abu Hussain(spelling). I inquired why they called him by this name when his mother had not arranged a marriage. He told me his first son would be called Hussain.

I suggested that he discuss it with his spouse when the time comes.

Further should his bride bring him first a Daughter, he would kill one goat instead of two. He would go by Abu (insert daughter's name) until she could bring him a son.

Further Islamic women and men, Never change there name. This is a big sin. Not for marriage, adoption any reason. This is to show respect for the biological father.

Thanks
