We have a series 932 with 4 internal coyotes. What I want to do is get rid of the coyotes and add 2 additional 2 gig scsi drives to our minitower. One of the scsi drives is already ldev 1.

My question is: Is there any reason we have to have an HP-IB drive on the system and if not, can we take the internal drives out successfully?

If we can get the HP-IB drives out, we will free up an HP-IB card. We currently have a 7980c, internal dat, and 2 2564c printers on our other card.
Would we gain anything by splitting these devices over the two HP-IB cards or should we simply leave the one HP-IB card with nothing attached?

TIA,
