One option might be to "beta test" the Samba/iX 0.7 version/prototype ;-)

The current filename mapping algorithm I'm using replaces MPE-illegal
characters by simple _xx_ sequences where the xx between the underscores
is the hex code of the illegal character.

So "New Folder" should become "New_20_Folder" on the MPE level (I'll have
to try/check this on monday... at the office I can access a Windows 95 PC.

I'm still thinking about the "best" mapping algorithm. I will also have
a look at the mapping used by Netware/iX -- it might have positive effects
on Netware/iX-Samba/iX cooperation...

Regards, Lars.
