QEMU (Quick EMUlator) was/is commonly used on RHEL systems to manage KVM
guests. That is how I used it in the past. It can also run as a hypervisor
itself or be employed as an application wrapper to run programs built for a
different architecture/OS on a local system. I have no experience with the
latter two uses.
Presumably it should be able to support a guest VM OS that runs on any of the
architectures that it emulates.
