- This is just a wild guess but something rings a bell about some FTP and/or
  arpa transport bugs on MPE/iX 4.0.  You may want to check for latest FTP-
  and NST(transport)- patches.  As of today it seems that the latest general
  release patches are FTPCDO5 (for ftp) and NSTDDG0 (for transport).  You can
  check the HPSWINFO.PUB.SYS for your patch level and/or request the CRC to
  find out what do you have in terms of patch level and whether there are
  later patches available.  FTP is currently going through major improvements.
