There are items on the SIGIMAGE ballot to enhance QUERY such that it is
DBINFO and DBCONTROL-aware. Currently QUERY support is performed by the HP
team in Roseville. As of this date, HP has not announced any plans to
provide these features in QUERY.

I would strongly encourage everyone who has a business need for access to
these items in QUERY to make their case known to HP, either by your vote (if
you're a member of SIGIMAGE), placing a request via the Response Center,
attending IPROF; or better yet....by doing all 3!

By the way, if you are an active user of IMAGE/SQL and are not yet a member
of SIGIMAGE, contact INTEREX @ 1-800-INTEREX and get your name on the
membership list. While you're at it, join INTEREX also...as your membership
fees are what help support our efforts. Although a lot of us volunteer our
time and own resources, things like the newsletter, etc. cost money (almost
$800 to print and mail-out 1 issue).

If you are a member of SIGIMAGE, you should have received your winter
newsletter along with your annual ballot. Please be sure and complete your
ballot and FAX it back to the phone number indicated ASAP!! The preliminary
results of the ballot will be presented at IPROF so now's your chance to add
to our 'thump-factor'....! TIA!
