You know, I'm not a C programmer, and I don't know if I ever will be,
but Jim Wowchuk makes some excellent points about the future openness
of the 3000.  If HP is truly on the 'open bandwagon', we, and the
vendors, need all the tools they can get.  This is one vote for
migrating the UX C++ compiler and SoftBench to the 3000.  To borrow
a phrase from an oft-repeated Mervyn's (department store) ad:
 
open, open open!
 
 
I know the thoughts expressed here are my own because no one else would claim
