That's why I freqently combine STORE to DISC and tar.Z in
a 2-step procedure. Store is very good at preserving MPE file
attributes and handling all MPE file types, and tar.Z is very
good at compressing (using a FOS tool, not the optional GNU
tools like gzip or bzip2).
