OK, here's a 30 second evaluation: needs work.

Particulars:

   1) setup program first balked that my "screen wasn't the proper size",
wanting it to be at least 800x600 -- well, if YOU can get my system to
resize the display as something other than 640x480x256, then more power to
you! [due to reasons unfathomable, this particular system one day decided
to puke whenever a screen-resolution change was requested -- re-installing
the video drivers is of no help. Since all I use this system for is
accessing mainframes and reading e-mail, 640x480 is just fine]

   2) I chose only "client install" as I don't have the HP powered up, and
besides, I'm looking for an HP-independant solution [read the followups on
the original thread, especially the part about "no HP-3000 was used (or
harmed) in the making of this film" ;) ]

   3) after a rigorous reorganization of my system registry [didn't know my
disk drive could be THAT noisy!] a final screen pops up with a check box
"reboot the system now" -- I unchecked it so I could "cleanly" exit from
e-mail, web browser, etc. HOWEVER clicking "finish" IGNORED the fact that I
chose to reboot on my own... [strike one]

   4) After the forced reboot, starting the program up IMMEDIATELY yields a
dialog box with a caption of "36" and the message "Are you sure you want to
reset the password?" -- the only option available was the "OK" button -- no
cancel or "NO" buttons were displayed, so I clicked "OK" [ummm, what
password did I just reset?] [foul ball, strike two...]

   5) the program INSISTS upon setting up a server -- clicking cancel takes
you out of the program. Aha! there is a "unix" option for server type, at
least I can point it to my Linux system in order to "appease" it...

   6) I inadvertantly type in the wrong IP address for the server -- the IP
address I type in is valid [it is for my firewall], however that address
doesn't respond to port 21 [ftp] [Ball one]
   7) I try right-clicking the server in the explorer pane hoping to find a
"properties" menu item in order to correct the IP address, however no such
luck -- at least there is DELETE and ADD [foul ball, count remains at 2]

   8) Just for grins, I tried the "ping" menu item -- it works, but the stop
button doesn't seem to work [it stops the current "ping", but automatically
restarts, or so it seemed -- I *might* have been multi-clicking the "stop"
button, which I belatedly noticed changed from "stop" to "start"; the
"close" button got me out of that loop] [ball two]

   9) OK, got the right server IP set up, however it took a couple of tries
[seems "delete" didn't fully delete the server information; a restart sort
of took care of it] sure enough, there under "servers" is my system with the
tree-branches: "Unix commands", "basic file explorer", "terminal window".
clicking on "basic file explorer" pulled up my home directory just nice,
however double-clicking on a folder within that DUPLICATED my "home"
directory underneath that directory [ok, this is a Linux system and not an
HP-UX system, ball three...]

  10) So, after all this, I go to find out how to convert a SCHEMA file on
my PC to a series of SQL commands to transmit to my "unix" system -- hmmm,
can't seem to find a menu item that will do this [ummm, strike three?]

Tom

[note: the download webpage gives you the impression you'll get instructions
on how to get version 4.0 via e-mail, which does arrive via e-mail, but the
download page also had a direct link to get version 4.1 (4.1.6 to be exact),
so the e-mail wasn't neccessary...]
