I put a new version of CHECKWWW on our web site, at
http://www.allegro.com/software/
CheckWWW is a utility that helps to check for possible problems
with your HP 3000 web server. It has two primary functions:
CHECKTREE
Recursively "walks" down a set of HTML pages, looking
for bad links.
SCANLOG
Scans a web server's access log file,
looking for possible problems of two kinds:
- files that did not get fully transferred;
- files that are not bytestream files.
(With the exception of the excellent QWEBS server from
QSS (www.qss.com), most web servers on the HP 3000 work
a lot better with bytestream files.)
