another option is in Microsoft development tools. within visual studio
there is a tool called windiff. this also is a great tool.

There is a PC based compare program called 'Beyond
Compare' that
I found on the NET that is outstanding, and dirt cheap. They have a
free download trial version, too.
While you'll have to upload your two files to compare
onto your
PC, the ease of use and results of 'Beyond Compare' will more than make
up for the hassle of the file transfer (IMHO, of course).
BTW, I have no affiliation with the software or its
purveyors -
just passing along what I feel is a great product.

Does anyone know the status of the SCOMPARE file comparison program?
I've never used it. Apparently, it requires a license.
I found a very old copy in the ALDON account of a system I was cleaning
up. Trying to run it resulted in "999 - PRODUCT VALIDATION FAILED."
I left voice mail with Aldon a few days ago, but my call has not been
returned.
