This is wonderful. I am glad.

The government (all over the world) should require this to be included,
in small print, on all Oracle advertisements. Something like this:

Who is the royal "We" in "We abandoned..."?

Probably my accent got in the way. I did *not* mean the very competent
HP engineers and I certainly did not mean Bill Hassel. These superb
folks (and HP is very lucky to have them) do their utmost to bring
HP's HP-UX customers the absolute best level of service. I have the
highest degree of respect for their technical knowledge.

I meant the "higher up" folks at UTC :-)

Both kinds of individuals (actually, there are THREE kinds of individuals
if we add you and Richard to the brave HP souls and the unsuspecting
UTC users) should NOT have to spend all this frustrating time being
aggravated. Again, as a gentle reminder, I meant "them" to refer to
the "higher up" folks at UTC :-)

And this is, precisely, the whole point.

Are you NOT seeing your travel agent anyway, then?

Anyhow, I wish a speedy recovery for your sake, for the sake of HP's
competent engineers, and for the sake of your users. After all, the
"higher ups" (at UTC, at HP, and all over the place) seem to be
completely at peace with themselves and seem to be above all of these
minor technical details. Should they be required to spend a day per
month manning (womanning?) the support lines of their darling systems?
I am sure it would do the world a lot of good.
