Paul,
        You could still store those files using the posix file spec. For
instance [log in to unmask] That way you will get all of the jumbo sets and
b-tree indexes. The dbstore date and dirty bit in the root file will
still be reset if the root file can be stored. The only thing that will
happen is that you will still get stores of the jumbo sets and b-tree
indexes even if the root file can't be stored.
        All of the is not to say that Unison should not fix it, just a
work around. For me this has not been a problem since I can do a full
backup every night with no accessors to the files.
