I think Gilles has already hit the nail on the head, assuming a DTC
related problem. In a case I remember the cause was bad hardware in
a DTC.

The 40-50 I/Os from PIN 11 are transaction manager I/Os, I cannot
say whether they relate to the I/Os of PINs 42 and 43, but I wouldn't
think so.
