That's actually a very important point. A great many of the original HP3000
programs were written in those days when a terminal could *only* have been 24
lines, 80 columns -- and the authors of the programs simply assume them to be
true, using that assumption to do all kinds of odd things that will no longer
work if your terminal is set any other way.
If you do wind up with odd problems and the program you're using dates back
to the very beginnings of the HP3000, set your terminal to 24 lines, 80
columns and see if the misbehaving program doesn't work any better.
