Rather than restoring a file, a better approach might be a VSTORE of @[log in to unmask]@
on one of the short tapes. This would tell you what files did get stored.

On the other hand, if the time dropped from 40 minutes to 2 minutes, it's
unlikely that the problem is that some process had 95% of the files on the
system open.

I think your best bet is to keep the STDLIST around even if CIERROR = 0.
