This was voted the most popular joke in Britain in 2001. Wirt has cleaned it
up I think. The original last line was reported as:

"HOLMES. Watson you dolt, someone has stolen our tent".

Its fame supposedly came from the repeated telling by a MP at every stop on
the campaign trail. It is good to see that some pols have a sense of humor.
I prefer 'pick pockets' who steal me blind with a smile :-)
