Does your DBA know Oricle. If he/she does not, there will be a learning
curve. HP9000's like other UNIX are bare boxes. No database, screen
handle, or language.

Later.

Subject: through put on the Hp3k vrs HP-ux

I know this is annoying.
The DBA here ask me this question.
How does the Through put on the HP3K compare to the HP-UX.
I think he is looking for rough numbers. He does not want to move to
HP9000. Our current machine is a 987 200. How many 9000 to replace
a 3K?.

TIA
Ron Wallace
