The JDBC capability combined with an Open Source web/application server
like Enhydra from http://www.enhydra.org might provide an interesting
starting point for HP 3000 based web applications. I have only played
with it very briefly, but at least the included "Golf Shop" demo seemed
to work quite nicely on MPE/iX. So if you are not really keen to write
your own infrastructure for session management, database connection
pooling and the like, you might feel inclined to give that free software
a try...

Oh, and please report back your experience. I'd really be curious for it.
And I somehow suspect that Mike Yawn would also be happy to add some related
story (tips or warnings) to the Jazz web pages ;-)
