In Release 5.5, due out late this summer, MPE/iX will support spooled printing
to any PCL printer configured as an MPE LDEV and connected to the system via
TCP/IP and a JetDirect interface. Supporting inetd services such as bootpd
are included with this release. This functionality is part of FOS.
Many third-party packages (for example, NBSPOOL from Quest, NP92 from
Minisoft, and ESPUL from RAC Consulting) support a richer feature set,
such as lpr/lpd, printing with other protocols (e.g., NetWare), and multi-
platform transfers (3000<-->9000<-->Novell server).
I hope this answers your questions.
