Hi MAESTRO users,

we encountered in between the following three problems:
(excerpt of an eMail sent to some names we know, not getting competent
persons on three different phone numbers we got one by one ... I skipped
the words where I described this but you may imagine how pleased we're by
this kind of support ...)

I'm interested in all comments on this but especially in all help somebody
could give ...

Best regards, and a happy New Year, Andreas Schmidt, CSC, Germany

(1) In CONMAN, the SETSYM does not longer work correctly. The recent past
days are no longer accessible via SETSYM 1, SETSYM 2 and so on but only by
SETSYM 30, SETSYM 29, and so on. The LISTSYM looks like:

$listsym
Schedule Actual Start Log Run Log
Date Date Time Date Num Size Num Filename
-------------------------------------------------------------------
12/30/98 12/30/98 00:36 12/31/98 1036 243 1 M9365181
12/29/98 12/29/98 00:33 12/30/98 1035 232 2 M9364181
12/28/98 12/26/98 00:25 12/29/98 1034 290 3 M9363181
12/27/98 12/27/98 06:02 12/28/98 1033 163 4 M9362181
<some more lines skipped>
12/07/98 12/05/98 00:28 12/08/98 1013 241 24 M9342181
12/06/98 12/06/98 06:02 12/07/98 1012 199 25 M9341181
12/05/98 12/05/98 06:03 12/06/98 1011 203 26 M9340181
01/04/99 01/02/99 00:25 01/05/90 1041 278 27 M1005184
01/03/99 01/03/99 06:02 01/04/90 1040 227 28 M1004181
01/02/99 01/02/99 06:03 01/03/90 1039 237 29 M1003181
01/01/99 01/01/99 00:20 01/02/90 1038 265 30 M1002181
12/31/98 12/31/98 01:44 01/01/90 1037 244 31 M1001181

So, to access the 31 of Dec 1998, you must say SETSYM 31,
to access the 01 of Jan 1999, you must say SETSYM 30 ...
BUT that is a bug related to some date calculations!

I would say that MAESTRO is neither Y2K complaint nor Y1999 complaint !!!!
And that's very very poor!

(2) The LCAL functionality does not work for Y2000:
Invoking in ARRANGER the LCAL screen for an existing calendar, I get the
following error:
01/05 10:36 Must be within this century (MAERR VF)
Workaround here: I must manually overwrite the Window Field by 09/01/98
(also 10/01/98 does not work
allthough we have lines for 14 months). That means that I cannot add dates
for Nov 1999 and Dec 1999
using this screen.
Curious like I am, I tested ADTE, and strange enough: I can add 11/01/99,
12/01/99, and 01/01/00, and also
02/28/00 but not 02/29/00. But using ICAL, the 00 dates are top of the
list, and using TimeMaschine to set
the date to 02/28/00, the schedule depending on the 00 date is not selected
...

(3) Reported in the past by Thomas Siebel: SCHEDULR program does not work
for dates in Y2K using the
input method:
Schedule Date (MM/DD/YY)? 02/28/00
This is an invalid date
Schedule Date (MM/DD/YY)?
We never got a solution !!!
