I have an HP3000 947RX. I do alot of work from home via modem, and would like
to install software updates this way. I discovered that even though I "took"
the console to Ldev 21, I couldn't issue a CNTL-A reply command. What I want
to do is mount the DAT update tape in Ldev 7 before I leave for the weekend.
Then, from home, I want to dial in, restore the tape (CNTL-A reply pin, ldev#)
and then stream the various update jobs needed. I thought I heard something
when we first got this machine about how this could be done. I was even under
the impression that I could do a system shutdown and restart via modem. Can
someone clue me in on the possibilities of this happening, and how? Many
thanks.
