25+ years of history would be tough to fit in one e-mail message. The
HP3000 has been around that long. I can't say when the 927 was introduced,
but it was in the last 3-5 years, I believe.

Patches are made available to you if you have a support contract with HP.
They can also be downloaded from http://us-support.external.hp.com after
registering and obtaining a username and password (this is free of charge).
If you do not have a support contract with HP, and utilize the download - be
very careful, read the docs that come with each patch, and ensure that all
prerequisite patches are available (or you have them so that they can be
applied).

If you (or your company) is a member of Interex, then you (or your company)
gets Interact. George Stachnick has written a multipart series (over the
last 14-16 months, at it still continues!) for the new HP3000 user. I would
suggest that if these are available, that you get your hands on them and
read them. If not, call (800)INTEREX (toll-free in the US), get membership
information, and inquire as to how to get back-issues. Their website is
http://www.interex.org

Best Regards,
Joe
