On the subject of the English Language... It reminds me of a sketch that is
familiar to British audiences... Imagine a shop.. a customer comes up to the
guy behind the counter...

Customer : Four candles please.
Server   : OK, there you go, four candles (placing four wax candles on
counter)
Customer : No! fork handles... handles for forks!

The sketch goes on....
