It is my understanding that HP is adding 12H AutoRaids to the HP3000 9x8 and
9x9 platforms. We are considering replacing a number of 2Gb and 4Gb drives
in older 6000 enclosures with AutoRaids using 9Gb or 18Gb drives, since some
of the 6000 enclosures are due to expire from maintenance in the coming
year.

I am curious as to whether the reduction in spindle count will have an
adverse effect on data base performance, since I would be reducing around 28
spindles down to 6. Any thoughts?
