I'll second that!!  I've recently added a few networked printers using IOCONFIG.  Very handy and DIDN'T require rebooting the system.  Maybe HP really did listen to all my crying and moaning over the years about tossing a few hundred users off of a production system to add ONE PRINTER :)

    I use this quite a bit. If I had to reboot the system every time I added
a printer, I would never have a weekend off, plus people screaming to have
the printers gened up. You can also use the IOCONFIG option. Very little
problems using it.
