Well, we've rebuilt the system that crashed last week that didn't have an
SLT or a full backup. (The full backup they told me they had was only for
one data account!)

The only big remaining problem is the modems on the dtc. They connect
fairly consistently, but then they drop after a few minutes. They are set
up as TR10U in the profile. Line speed 9600, Terminal type 10, Auto-Sensing
parity Y, Parity None, Modem Type 1 - US (We've tried European, but that was
even worse), HP terminal reset N. The configuration on the modems hasn't
changed throughout this ordeal, just the configuration on the system.

Any ideas would be appreciated, HPRC just ran through the standard settings
with me and thought they were done. The application folks are going nuts
trying to get the applications back up to speed after the crash, and keep
getting booted off the modems.

I'm sure no one on this list needs reminded how important SLT's are, but it
sure is a lot more work and time involved to get a system back together
without one. (Full backups are nice too!)
