Maximum data entry size 4094 bytes or 2047 words (16 bit)
Maximum data item length 4094 bytes or 2047 words (16 bit)
Maximum data set file size .5 GB under Classic MPE/V
2 GB under MPE/XL 1.0 - 3.1
4 GB under MPE/iX 4.0 - present
for single file
~40 GB under IMAGE version C.06.00
using Jumbo datasets
available
as of Express 3 release
under 5.0
Data entries per data set Limited to 2**(23)-1 * blocking factor
I personally have not seen a dataset that contained more than 8-digit number
of entries. Anyone have a dataset with more than 100,000,000 entries?
