It's been a little longer for me (about 7 years now!), but I believe there was
also a setting for the spool file extent size since your could only have a
maximum of 32 extents in a file. You may need to increase this as well.

Remembering back to my MPE/V days (okay, it's only been 6 months or so!),
there is also a setting in SYSDUMP for the maximum spoolfile disk
allocation in KSectors. Even if your drives are nearly empty, this is the
maximum total number of sectors that the system can use for spoolfiles.

It sounds like you have a disk full problem on certain disks. First,
you appear to be running a MPE V version of MPE, which is different
that MPE/iX, but I don't believe affects the problem (Is this right
other Larry B?) In any case, a disk drive is configured with disk
"classes". Only a drive with disk class "spool" (or is it "spooler")
will store spool files. Unless your printer is not spooled, called
"hot", *all* files go to the "spool" disk(s). Once on the disk, they
are printed on any accepted printer with the right print class (e.g.
"LP"). If your disk drives that are classified as "spool" drives are
full, you will receive this message even through the system as a whole
has disk space. You can either:

1) Re-classify drives with class "spool", which requires
re-configuring and re-booting.
2) Add more drives (the other ones may be filling up also), which also
requires re-configuring and re-booting.
3) Move files/groups/account to other drives that are not configured
as "spool". This is the easiest for a quick fix, but you may not have
space on the other drives either.

Good Luck,

LB
