  I'm interested in this thread.  For the last 5 years we've been running
an HP3000/957 and telneting to it using WIntel PCs running Reflections
from WRQ via DTC72MX.  Our current OS is 5.0 Express 6.  On only a couple
of PCs we noticed periodic 'hanging', and I've believed it to be a case of
WRQ problem since the keyboard totally locks, BUT a mouse click anywhere
on the screen reactivates the session.  We did not see the problem until
upgrading to Version 5.2 of R1.  It's sounding like you're experiencing
something much more widespread and perhaps seen only on MPE/iX 5.5??
This is of concern, since we've planned to upgrade to 5.5 (as part of the
Y2K fix) but now ........
Did you see this (hanging telnet) only on 5.5?   Thanks.   -Deane
