Hello All,

I have Windows XP running on a partion of my laptop and I'm wondering if
some of the windows guru's could help me with some of my settings. I use
ALT-TAB to toggle between or through my applications. I have always
found this is the fastest way to switch between applications and doesn't
require me to reach for the mouse.

In the latest greatest release of this OS, it seems to popup this huge
window and generate a thumbnail of the application as I toggle through
the apps. Of course it takes my laptop about a second for each
application. As nice as this new eye candy is, I have never had a
problem relating the name of an application to the application that I
want to run.

In addition to this "feature", it seems that hitting alt-tab to switch
from QuickTax to Netscape and then hitting alt-tab again no longer takes
me back to Quick Tax but instead moves me on to the next app in the
list. This last "feature" sucks, no way around it. It renders alt-tab
useless and I have to resort to that little joystick mouse in the center
of my laptop keyboard.

When KDE added silly application thumbnails 6 months ago, I had no
problem turning them off but I cannot find the switch in Windows. Can
someone please tell me how to make Windoze behave the way it use to so I
can make it through tax season and return to KDE for another year.

Thanks a bunch,
-Pete
