I have some questions about DAT alignment/misalignment:

If you *realign* a DAT will you be able to read the tapes that were cut
by the *misaligned* DAT?

Is there really any such thing as a true *alignment* or is every DAT
slightly off in its own way? If this is so then it's, "ya pays yer
nickel an' ya takes yer chance." The cure may be as bad as the disease.
