Well, at least -- after all these years -- the hp3000 is all over
the MAIN page at http://www.interex.org/ :-)

Perhaps an "advocacy competition" was the necessary impetus for
this AMAZING coverage of the hp3000.

After many years of quietly languishing away in undistinguished
corners of the publishing world (print and web) -- with the notable
exception of The 3000 NewsWire --, all of a sudden EVERYBODY
(including computerworld.com) has had the hp3000 on its front page.

There is no such thing as bad publicity.  ANY publicity is good,
particularly outside of the hp3000 installed base.  I have been
amazed at all the turbulent currents and cross-currents, at all
the blaming and counter-blaming, at all the suggestions and
counter-suggestions, at all the humility and hubris, at all the
chutzpah and charm, and so on, in reaction to HP's announcement.

People have obviously been thinking very hard (and writing very
hard) on the subject of the future of MPE/Image.

Could this whole thing be just a clever ploy by HP Marketing to
get the good word out about the hp3000?  I have NEVER seen so much
ink (real and virtual) dedicated to the hp3000 in all of my years
of association with the platform.
