I did run into one minor problem while upgrading my system (969/100 w/
640mb) from 5.0 to 5.5.02. The install job I00I1524 aborted because
of a missed continue statement. This job is to fix the issue of
TurboSTORE 7X24 being installed by default on the initial release of
5.5. Other than that, everything went smoothly and took about 4.5
hours (excluding the backup and recovering the failed install job).

I am pasting some text I found on the "Jazz" server referring to the
TurboSTORE mishap

TurboSTORE/iX II, TurboSTORE/iX, 7x24 Patches

Removing TurboSTORE from Your System

When we shipped MPE/iX Release 5.5, we inadvertently included
TurboSTORE/iX 7x24 True Online, P/N B5152AA. The inclusion of this
version of TurboSTORE was in error. Hewlett-Packard Company apologizes
for any inconvenience and confusion this may have caused you.

If you do not have a license to use this version, please use it as a
short term demonstration copy. The demonstration period will end July
15, 1997.

If you are interested in purchasing a license to use this product,
contact your HP Sales Representative or your Authorized HP Reseller
and be sure to ask about the current High Availability Promotion (code
named "Bridge").

Users of TurboSTORE/iX II or TurboSTORE/iX 7x24 will need to install
either the SUBSYS or the appropriate XL from the MPE/iX 5.5 Express 2
(C.55.02) SUBSYS tape prior to July 15, 1997. Installing the MPEJXD4B
patch requires the installation of the MPE/iX 5.5 Express 2 (C.55.02)
SUBSYS or later.

Failure to install either the SUBSYS or the appropriate XL will remove
TurboSTORE/iX II or TurboSTORE/iX 7x24 from your system, leaving you
with FOS STORE functionality.

If you do not want to install the entire SUBSYS, you may install only
the appropriate XL from the SUBSYS tape. Users of TurboSTORE II
(B5151AA) will install STORXL51 and users of TurboSTORE/iX 7x24
(B5152AA) will install STORXL52 using the following procedure:

logon as MANAGER.SYS
:NEWGROUP USL
:FILE TAPE;DEV=TAPE
:RESTORE *TAPE;STORXL5#.USL.SYS;SHOW
:COPY STORXL51.USL.SYS,STORXL51.PUB.SYS;YES
or
:COPY STORXL52.USL.SYS,STORXL52.PUB.SYS;YES

Removing TurboSTORE from Your System

If you determine that this product is not required, please remove it
from your system. To remove TurboSTORE/iX 7x24, you need to remove
STOREXL.PUB.SYS from your system. The following procedure will do
this:

:purge STOREXL.PUB.SYS
:sysgen

Hewlett-Packard Co. sincerely apologizes for this error. A
preventative/corrective action has been initiated to ensure this type
of error does not occur again in the future.
