From our 959/200 with 2 processors.
HPCPUNAME = SERIES-959-100
We added the 2nd processor about two years ago. Never gave it a thought if
the cpu name needed to be updated. We have no problems with any of our
software packages.

We have 4 processors in our 979/400 and our HPCPUNAME is 979-400.

Hello all,
a nice quick question I hope.
We have just ordered an HPe3000 979/200 and have been quoted an
HPCPUNAME of
SERIES 979-100.
Could anyone confirm this is correct or should it be SERIES 979-200?
My gut feeling is that it is right and the fact we have a twin
processor
machine is just an option added to the default spec.
Many thanks,
Kevin
