I agree that it is a relatively thankless job for servicing the list to
provide a resource for all to consult. Advertising on the list may not be
appropriate, although I could put up with a blurb once a week to help
support this cause. A big thank you for all involved in the list's
operation.

I very much agree with the above.  The value that 3000-L has
collectively provided to the readership is huge.  Some reward
for high-quality work is fair, right, and appropriate....
